PawSox Futures at Fenway Lineup
Under some cloudy (but hopeful) skies, the PawSox are making their fifth Futures at Fenway appearance Saturday afternoon. Game one of the minor league doubleheader is in progress, with short-season Lowell taking on Hudson Valley (Rays).
Here is Pawtucket’s lineup vs. Buffalo (Mets):
1. Che-Hsuan Lin, CF
2. Jose Iglesias, SS
3. J.C. Linares, RF
4. Andy LaRoche, 1B
5. Jason Repko, LF
6. Nate Spears, 3B
7. Jon Hee, 2B
8. Dan Butler, C
9. Tony Thomas, DH
Some poor news from game one: Spinners’ starter, and 2012 first round pick, Brian Johnson, was struck in the face by a line drive on the second pitch of the game. He was carted off the field and taken to a local medical facility. No word yet regarding his progress.
Buffalo’s starter today, Collin McHugh, has the good fortune of pitching in the Futures at Fenway game for the second straight year. In 2011, the right-hander tossed six shutout innings for Double-A Binghamton against Portland, but settled for a no-decision as the Sea Dogs walked-off in the 11th with the win.
