Red Sox Farmhand Raising Money for Sandy Relief

During times of tragedy we often hear sports figures, celebrities, politicians, etc. say things like “our thoughts are with those affected by ___________.”

While it certainly is kind of them to acknowledge those who have encountered hardship, it’s even better when we see someone with influence take action.

Red Sox farmhand Jayson Hernandez (@Jays0n_Hernan) has spent the majority of his life living on the Jersey Shore and played three years of baseball at Rutgers — the state university of New Jersey. Using Twitter as his primary platform, Hernandez is raising money for the relief efforts following Hurricane Sandy.

As he points out in his flyer seen below (click to enlarge), 100% of the money raised will be given to those in need. To donate, email Jayson directly at jayhernan24@live.com.
