PawSox Players on the Move
Since it’s hard keeping track of minor league free agency each off-season, here is a list of 2012 PawSox players who have moved on since the end of the season.
- Nate Spears, Cleveland Indians: Spears signed with Terry Francona’s club where he received an invitation to big league camp.
- Will Inman, Tampa Bay Rays: Inman spent one season in the Red Sox system and was with Pawtucket the entire year.
- Danny Valencia, Baltimore Orioles: Recently DFA’d, Valencia was traded to Baltimore for cold hard cash.

- Zach Stewart, Pittsburgh Pirates: Like Valencia, Stewart was DFA’d and dealt for a player to be named later.
- Che-Hsuan Lin, Houston Astros: Lin was claimed off waivers by the Astros after spending his entire pro career with Boston.
- Billy Buckner, Los Angeles Angels: After one year with the Red Sox, Buckner looks to return to the bigs for the first time since 2010.
And we can’t leave manager Arnie Beyeler off the list. The former PawSox skipper is now the Red Sox new first base coach.
Enjoy your weekend,
