Installing New McCoy Stadium Lights (Photos)

How many guys does it take to screw in a light bulb? Apparently the answer at McCoy Stadium is “two.”

On a 38 degree morning in Pawtucket, there are two brave and bundled workers 110 feet up in the air replacing all of the lights at the ballpark. A total of 278 light bulbs are being installed that will be brighter and more energy efficient than ones they’re replacing.

Because of the ever rapid advances in light bulb technology, fewer lights bulbs are going up than are coming down. A big thanks to the two shivering men who are spending their day working hard for the 2013 season.
