This reminds me of the time I was on standby for a flight out of Orange County.

The gate agent said, “If I counted right, there is one seat left.”

I run out to the plane and hike up the ramp (this is the old airport) with my bags.

I spot the last seat halfway down the aisle. Stash my stuff and plop in the seat.

But then this guy comes out of the restroom …… Uncle Pat

I know how you feel Jeff. Been there done that. I was in Ohio once at Akron/Canton Airport flying to Providence thru Pittsburgh & my daughter in Providence knew about 30 minutes before I did, at the gate, that my flight had been canceled due to a problem with the plane sitting at the gate. Ended up going to Detroit & then Providence. Welcome home.
